It is guiding a sacred mission with responsibility and selflessness rooted in India’s cultural ethos and aligned with the aspirations of a modern and dynamic nation. We take the inspiration for our governance from Indian culture, the sacred and ancient Indian texts and scriptures. Our Governance is driven by values like Dharma (duty), Satya (truth), and Seva (service), blended with the Modern 21st-century best practices in transparency, inclusion, and accountability.

GOVERNING COUNCIL

At the top of the Governance structure is the governing Society, which is a body of eminent educationists, thinkers, policy experts, and cultural scholars.

This body shapes the strategic direction of the Board and ensures that every initiative of the Board aligns with the core mission, national policies & curriculum framework for school education brought out from time to time.

EXECUTIVE BOARD

Our Governance is driven by values like Dharma (duty), Satya (truth), and Seva (service), blended with the Modern 21st-century best practices in transparency, inclusion, and accountability.

  • 1. Curriculum/ Academic Committee: The Committee consists of Eminent Educationists from various disciplines and is responsible for deciding the scheme of studies and course content.
  • 2. Affiliation Committee: This Committee deals with matters relating to the affiliation of Schools with the Bhartiya Shiksha Board.
  • 3. The Examination and Result Committee: This Committee decides matters about examinations and their results conducted by the Bhartiya Shiksha Board, and training and implementation of rules relating to examinations.
  • 4. Finance Committee: Oversees Financial Management. In addition to these committees, the Bhartiya Shiksha Board may constitute any other ad-hoc committee for specific functions of the Board.

POWER AND FUNCTIONS OF THE BOARD

The detailed powers and functions of the Board and the norms for different activities are entailed in the Rules, Regulations, Affiliation Bye-Laws, Examination Bye-Laws, etc. Hence, for reference on any specific matter, these documents available on the website must be referred to. In brief, these are:

  • 1. To formulate the Policies, Regulations on the standards of academic quality and other terms and conditions.
  • 2. To specify courses or instructions and the curricula in the domain area in 5+3+3+4 pattern or such other pattern as specified in prevailing National Curriculum Framework.
  • 3. To develop and or specify text-books and other books of study, periodical review, evaluation and publication.
  • 4. To lay down conditions for admission, fix fees, fines, etc..
  • 5. To devise methodology for pre and post affiliation orientation for the Promoters/ Management, Heads of School/Institute, etc., including pre-admission orientation for parents of the students, pre-joining orientation for the teaching and non-teaching staff.

  • 1. formulate such policies including the terms and conditions of affiliation, and amendments thereof when necessary as per the Rules and the Regulations.
  • 2. grant, refuse or withdraw affiliation for non-compliance of the provisions of Affiliation Bye-Laws, or other applicable Rules/Regulations/Bye-Laws.
  • 3. cause inspection/re-inspection/post affiliation inspection as per the provisions of the Affiliation Bye-Laws and other Acts/Rules.

  • 1. To formulate such policies including the terms and conditions of examinations, and amendments thereof when necessary as per the Rules and the Regulations.
  • 2. To admit in and specify conditions for conduct of examinations.
  • 3. To cancel any examination or withhold the result of any examination of any candidate, or to disallow from appearing in any future examination.
  • 4. To publish examination results or withhold or cancel any examination, either in whole or in part.

  • 1. To formulate the Policies on the standards of training and development of the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the affiliated schools.
  • 2. To formulate and undertake continuous professional development programs for Head/ teachers.
  • 3. To conduct examination(s) on Teachers’ Training programmes of appropriate standard in the domain area and award certificates.
  • 4. devise methodology for orientation for the Students – Teachers – Parents – Staff cohesion, for their individual and collective knowledge growth vis-à-vis overall growth of affiliated School/ Institute.

  • 1. formulate guidelines and procedures for the affiliated schools/institutes in domain area for making their eco-system in coherence with the objectives of the Board as well as the provisions of the prevailing National Curriculum Framework for Bharatiya Gyan Parampara based Modern Education.
  • 2. devise training modules/awareness programmes for the stakeholders for maintaining the school culture and environment as per the guidelines and for continuous improvement.

  • 1. To formulate the Rules and the Regulations as per the Model Bye-Laws issued by the Govt. of India including the amendments when necessary,
  • 2. To institute and award scholarships, medals and prizes as well as accept endowments,
  • 3. To adopt measures to promote discipline, health and physical and moral well- being of students,
  • 4. To make regulations to prevent misconduct of students, teachers, examiners and examinees and the penalties,
  • 5. To lay down qualifications and parameters for the appointment of the Heads and the teachers,
  • 6. To accept donations, acquire properties and invest surplus funds/CSR Funds in Government securities or banks, etc.,
  • 7. To coordinate with higher academic bodies and other Education Boards as well as to collaborate with educational organizations within India and abroad,
  • 8. To adopt such measures and make such Rules/Regulations as may be necessary to improve quality and standards of affiliated domain area Institutions, as well as perform such other functions, as may be assigned by the Governing Society.
